I thought having Chiron on Sun was worst than Asc. Can someone explain to me the difference please I don’t really get it
This question was asked by a lovely lady in an Astrology Face Book Group. It is a great question!
First of all, we need to break down the nature of the Ascendant and the nature of the Sun. The Ascendant is our “self” that interfaces with our every day world. I am a Libra Ascendant. I appear balanced( I hope). I am soft spoken and refined( I hope). I dress simply and with good taste( I hope, once again) These are traits with which I IDENTIFY as part of who I am, with respect to the self you will see when you meet me.
Is the Ascendant the CORE of me? NO.
If you know me well, do you see me as my Ascendant? Most likely, not.
You will see traces of that, of course, but my DEEPER self will shine through because my deeper, more intimate self is not my Ascendant. It would be my Sun and Moon.
Chiron is the planet of pain. Chiron conjunct the Ascendant will be bullied, in the cases I have seen(There are a small number of cases in which this has not happened, but it is a small number) My theory as to why this Chiron placement is bullied is that many, many people respond to pain with meanness.
The people who do this will argue the most about it, so save your words, so as not to identify yourself.
I think Chiron conjunct the Ascendant is one of the hardest aspects, bar none.
Chiron conjunct the Sun is very different. The Sun represents one’s father, as well as one’s own ego/sense of identity. This aspect shows a VERY painful relationship with the father and one that greatly hurt the native. The closer the orb, the harder the relationship.
I hope I have answered this question to your satisfaction. That is, always, my goal!
