I know Panzi from Linda-Goodman.com asked me about some other North Node (NN) aspects, but I can’t find the question, so will do this and, hopefully, cover many of them.
First of all, the NN shows our purpose. The House shows a sphere of life to which we aspire.If I explained my House Positions, it may get a little confusing because my House position is Sagittarius natural house. Look at one of my simple articles on Houses and you can study your own North Node and South Node House positions.
The Sign of the NN is a manner of being to which we aspire. For example, I have the NN in Sagittarius. Sagittarius loves to travel. I am afraid of travel. Sagittarius will take risks. I am afraid to take risks. Sagittarius loves long distance travel, which is the scariest of all, for me.
My South Node is in Gemini. I am comfortable with Gemini traits. I am friendly, can hold a conversation with anyone, love to read, love to study and am crazy funny—-Ali G lite( if you know me well enough)
So, we have a thumbnail sketch of the Nodes.
Now, we will move to the subject.
The Moon is one’s deepest heart. Your intimates know you by your Moon. Your casual and work friends know you by your Sun.Hence, when the Moon aspects the NN, we can get an understanding of how your HEART will dovetail with your life purpose.
With the conjunction, you will wear your heart on your sleeve. Love and Bonding will be one of your life themes and life purposes. Lovely aspect.
With the Trine, your heart will help lead you to your life purpose.
With the opposition, you may go “back and forth” toward meeting your life purpose. You may feel conflicted, may be a better way to say it. Let me give an example from one of my clients. She felt conflicted as to live near her childhood home and mother or move farther away for a job opportunity.
With the square, I see this as a locked in struggle. Some people feel the struggle can be resolved. I see it as STAYING as an inner struggle, at least, even if it seems to be resolved on the outside. An example of this could be the daughter who wants to stay near her mother and, also, wants to move farther away for a job. She does take the job offer, but flies home once a month to see her mother. On the outside, she may have resolved the issue, but inside, it does not feel resolved and she is not at peace.
The quincunx represents the above struggle BUT if the person tries hard enough, the person can resolve it and find peace, such that the situation does not feel like a “nagging itch” for lack of a better word.
